Catching a clear day before the rains we got an early start to Pinnacles National Park to climb Scout Peak, one of the highest of the High Peaks section. The peak is a scraggly rocky dome reached by a short pitch of technical rock climbing. While setting up for the climb we had a marvelous vista out over the Salinas Valley where some early morning fog still lingered.
For this image a quick change to flash setting gave some reflected light to the shadowed rock face.
