Dense fog blanketed the slopes of Loma Alta in Fairfax as I hiked up the fire road from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard early in the morning. The valley below was hidden and wisps of wind blew the fog across the dry grassy hillside. At the summit several odd rocky outcroppings stood silently in the mist. Slowly the sun began to clear the clouds, a few glints of light shone on the grass. I even saw a fogbow! Marvelous !!
